By purchasing any service, registering an account, joining a membership, scheduling a consultation, submitting your catalog, or using this website, you ("Client," "Artist," "Songwriter," "Producer," "Publisher," "Rights Holder," or "User") agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not purchase or use our services.
Black Box Check LLC is a music publishing infrastructure, royalty administration support, metadata management, catalog diagnostics, publishing administration support, and royalty recovery support company.
Our mission is to help creators establish and maintain accurate publishing infrastructure, improve royalty administration, and reduce revenue loss caused by incomplete registrations, inaccurate metadata, or administrative issues.

Participation in any workshop, seminar, class, webinar, conference, or educational event does not establish an attorney-client relationship, accounting relationship, fiduciary relationship, talent management relationship, or exclusive publishing relationship with Black Box Check LLC.
Educational programs are provided solely for informational and educational purposes. Information presented during workshops, classes, coaching sessions, webinars, and live events should not be considered legal, accounting, tax, financial, investment, or business advice.
Attendance at any educational program does not guarantee royalty recovery, increased earnings, successful registrations, copyright approvals, publishing agreements, licensing opportunities, distribution, placements, or financial results.
Participants are solely responsible for implementing the information provided and for making their own business decisions.
Workshop materials, presentations, videos, templates, checklists, spreadsheets, guides, recordings, slides, handouts, downloadable resources, and educational content remain the exclusive intellectual property of Black Box Check LLC unless otherwise stated in writing.
No participant may reproduce, copy, record, distribute, resell, teach, modify, publish, upload, share, or commercially exploit any portion of Black Box Check's educational materials without prior written permission.
Black Box Check LLC reserves the right to modify workshop schedules, instructors, locations, online platforms, agendas, speakers, course materials, pricing, or event dates at any time.
Because seating is limited and educational materials are prepared in advance, all workshop registrations, event registrations, seminar registrations, conference registrations, coaching sessions, webinars, and educational program fees are non-refundable.
If a participant is unable to attend a scheduled event, Black Box Check LLC may, at its sole discretion, offer a transfer to a future event, workshop credit, or access to a recorded session if available. Such accommodations are not guaranteed.
Failure to attend a scheduled workshop or event does not entitle a participant to a refund.
Black Box Check LLC reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, or modify any educational event due to circumstances beyond its control. If Black Box Check LLC cancels an event and does not reschedule it, participants may receive a refund or credit at the Company's discretion.
Black Box Check does not guarantee:
• that royalties exist,
• that missing royalties will be located,
• that any collection society will approve a claim,
• that royalties will be recovered,
• that registrations will be accepted,
• that metadata corrections will be processed,
• or that any specific financial outcome will occur.
Each catalog is different.
Results depend upon third parties including publishers, collection societies, distributors, digital service providers, record labels, administrators, and royalty organizations.
Client agrees to provide accurate information including, where applicable:
• Legal name
• Publishing information
• IPI numbers
• PRO affiliation
• Split information
• ISRCs
• ISWCs
• Song titles
• Writers
• Ownership percentages
• Copyright documentation
• Agreements affecting ownership or administration
Client is responsible for ensuring submitted information is truthful and accurate.
Client retains one hundred percent (100%) ownership of:
• copyrights,
• compositions,
• publishing rights,
• master recordings,
• trademarks,
• intellectual property,
• sound recordings,
• ownership interests,
• songwriter rights,
• publisher rights,
• neighboring rights,
• and all other intellectual property.
Nothing contained in these Terms transfers ownership to Black Box Check.
Client grants Black Box Check a non-exclusive Limited Administration Authorization ("LAAR Admin") solely for the purpose of:
• Registering musical works
• Updating metadata
• Publishing administration assistance
• Royalty administration support
• Royalty collection assistance
• Royalty recovery support
• Catalog maintenance
• Publishing infrastructure management
• Registration maintenance
• Ownership verification
• Royalty reporting support
This authorization is strictly administrative.
This authorization does not transfer:
• Copyright ownership
• Publishing ownership
• Song ownership
• Master ownership
• Intellectual property ownership
• Exclusive administration rights
Client retains complete ownership and control of all rights.
Black Box Check's authority is limited solely to administrative support related to royalty administration and publishing infrastructure.
Client authorizes Black Box Check to communicate with royalty organizations, collection societies, digital service providers, distributors, publishing entities, and related third parties on Client's behalf solely for administrative purposes.
This authorization includes:
• Metadata corrections
• Registration inquiries
• Publishing administration support
• Catalog verification
• Royalty investigations
• Royalty inquiries
• Royalty claim support
• Publishing support
• Copyright registration support
• Mechanical royalty support
• Neighboring rights support
• Collection society communications
The LOD authorizes administrative communications only.
It does not assign ownership or exclusive control over Client's catalog.
By purchasing any Black Box Check service, Client acknowledges and agrees that:
• Client has read these Terms.
• Client understands the services purchased.
• Client authorizes Black Box Check to perform the selected administrative services.
• Client understands that Black Box Check operates solely as a publishing infrastructure, metadata administration, royalty recovery support, and publishing administration support company.
• Client retains one hundred percent (100%) ownership of all copyrights, publishing, masters, and intellectual property.
Black Box Check works with or communicates with organizations including, but not limited to:
• Performing rights organizations
• Mechanical licensing organizations
• Collection societies
• Neighboring rights organizations
• Digital distributors
• Record labels
• Publishers
• Administrators
• Royalty processors
Black Box Check does not own or control these organizations and cannot guarantee their response times or decisions.
Black Box Check is not a law firm, accounting firm, investment adviser, or tax adviser.
Nothing on this website constitutes legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice.
Clients should consult qualified professionals regarding legal, tax, or financial matters.
Fees are due before services begin unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Certain royalty recovery services may be subject to separate contingency fee agreements.
Membership fees, subscriptions, audits, workshops, consulting, and administrative services are billed according to the selected package.
Due to the professional nature of our work, all sales are final.
Once work has begun or services have been rendered, Black Box Check does not provide refunds, credits, or chargebacks.
Services that are considered rendered include, but are not limited to:
• Research

• Catalog analysis
• Administrative work
• Consultations
• Registration assistance
• Royalty investigations
• Publishing administration
• Royalty recovery support
• Communications with third parties
• Report preparation
• Diagnostic reviews
If a client chooses to discontinue services after work has begun, no refund will be issued for work already performed.
All reports, templates, checklists, educational materials, videos, graphics, software, documents, branding, systems, and proprietary methodologies created by Black Box Check remain the exclusive property of Black Box Check unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Clients may not reproduce, sell, distribute, or commercially exploit these materials without written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Black Box Check shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from the use of our services.
Black Box Check reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for fraud, abuse, misrepresentation, non-payment, illegal activity, or violations of these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate state or federal courts located in California, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Black Box Check may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
